A wedding that brings their two families who have never met together. A dance floor that is packed with people who are there for a reason and not “just because.” A “Big Party” with an open bar. This is how Nicole and Steven described their vision to me when we first met, and this was the wedding they entrusted me to help create. (Everything but the open bar…that was for the fabulous Calamigos Equestrian to handle!) On a beautiful October afternoon, the pieces for this event started to come together with their coordinator Lynne An playing a huge role in making sure everything did just perfectly. The celebrations started early with their photographers and videographers from Herman Au Photography and White Rose Productions creating amazing amounts of energy amongst the bridal party and getting some fantastic shots and footage. As the guests assembled on the Equestrian Patio, the ceremony (presided over by their good friend and groomsman Larry) got underway. Within minutes, these two high school sweethearts, who have been waiting almost 15 years, finally said “I Do.”
As the guests moved into the ballroom, the high energy continued with a grand entrance. Every single member of the bridal party danced into the room, and when Nicole and Steven finally came through the doors, they all ran out to the center of the dance floor to greet them. Nicole and Steven took to the floor for their first dance, but soon their bridal party, and eventually everyone in the room, joined them on the floor.
Everything ran like clockwork thanks to this amazing team working this wedding. When it was time to open up the dance floor, everyone came pouring out to join Nicole and Steven. (And to possibly catch a glimpse of Steven doing his Michael Jackson impression, which he did!) The wedding and reception ran so smoothly with the guests moving around the room to enjoy the dancing, the photo booth, and of course, the open bar!
Before the night was through, their videographers showed everyone a spectacular same day edit, which was adored by the whole room. When it was finally time to say goodnight, Nicole and Steven had one last slow song planned out. All of their friends and family joined them in the center of the floor and watched them dance. After a few more songs (including one more MJ jam for Steven), it was time to put a pin in this perfect night.
