The Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach is a picturesque golf course with a gorgeous wedding garden, spacious ballroom, and a wonderful staff that ensures your special event goes off without a hitch. This is also the location Julie and Casey decided to host their amazing wedding, even though it was 2292 miles from their home. Julie and Casey met and were living in Southern California almost three years ago. However, last year, when Casey got a job in Detroit, MI, and had to relocate, their relationship was put to the test. That is until Julie decided to take the plunge and move out to be with Casey. I met them on one of their wedding planning trips to California, and we really hit it off. They knew I would be the perfect fit to make their wedding day celebration epic!
The ceremony was absolutely picture perfect. Just past the giant gazebo, the guests had a view of the green golf course, sparkling lakes, and flowing fountains that give The Old Ranch its charm. All eyes were pealed away from that sight when Julie descended the giant staircase, met her dad at the bottom, and proceeded up the aisle. The ceremony that followed was just as intriguing and ended with cheers as Julie and Casey were pronounced Husband and Wife. The guests then made their way to cocktails and the reception room for the party.
And party they did! Following some heartfelt formalities, eight short and sweet speeches, and a buffet fit for a king, the party kicked off with every single guest on the dance floor. However, there was much more to do that just dance. The guests lined up all night to have their pictures taken in the photo booth, the glass doors were opened to allow the guests to stroll out on the patio and enjoy the perfect Spring night by the beach, and of course, there was the bar…I mean cake!! Julie and Casey made their rounds and really enjoyed everything. They danced (and Casey told me he didn’t dance), they mingled with their guests, they took a ton of photos (both in the booth and out), and just got to enjoy seeing all of their California friends and family (and a bunch who traveled from around the country as well) one more time before heading back across the US to their home in Michigan. Planning a wedding within your own city is tough but planning one from halfway across the country could have been impossible. However, with the help of some amazing vendors and their families, they pulled off a spectacular wedding everyone will be talking about for years to come.
