In beautiful Santa Barbara, there is a hidden gem of a venue just up the street from the hustle and bustle of the beach, the resort hotels, State Street, and UCSB. It is The University Club, and it is where Courtney and Aaron decided to have their wedding and reception.
In the garden of this historical home, Courtney and Aaron held their ceremony. It was officiated by Courtney’s Uncle Randy, and her Aunt Cass sang, accompanied by a pianist. The reception was in the dining room, and it was packed tight with friends, family, and loved ones. We added a few amber up-lights to make the room pop. Once the party got underway, it was a non-stop dance party until the very end of the night. At the end of the night, I gathered all the remaining guests (which was about 90% of the total attendance) and had them form a circle on the dance floor, as we waited for Courtney and Aaron to make their way back to the dining room. They were amazed by the outpouring of love and at how many people were still there. They started dancing alone to Midnight Train To Georgia, but soon they motioned for everyone to join them. We then quickly got everyone to line up outside for the big “sparkler” send off, which led Courtney and Aaron right to their waiting limo and off they drove to spend their first night as husband and wife.
